Centroid Concrete Section designs reinforced concrete beam sections. It calculates the required reinforcement to resist bending moment and shear. It can also determine the flexural and shear capacity if you specify the supplied reinforcement.
Concrete Section Design runs in your web browser on your PC or Mac. You can also use the it on your smartphone or tablet.

Concrete Section is a Progressive Web Application (PWA). You can think of a PWA as a special kind of website made of JavaScript that you can install on your device and then use like a regular application.
When prompted*, you can (but don't have to) install the app on your device.
Installation enables it to work when you are offline.
*Note: iPhone and iPad do not display a prompt to install.
Instead, press the Share button and then "Add to Home Screen".

The current version of the app performs design according to CSA A23.3 - 2019.

Pricing
For now, Centroid Structural Calculator is completely free. Improving and maintaining it will require many development hours, meaning we will need supporting revenue. The likely scenario will be a choice of in-app purchases (if installing from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store) and a subscription services. We are figuring that out at the same time as we are learning how the calculator can help you.
